Christian Beliefs

This series will examine the question: Should we be put prayer back in public school?

We will begin this series with a review of the Christian faith, although they are probably known by everyone reading this.  This will be our reference point for the beliefs covered this week.

The following beliefs are key to the Christian faith:

The Bible is the inspired Word of God.  It is the complete and final revelation of God.
There is only one God and He is able to manifest himself in three persons:  The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is God in flesh, born of a virgin and will return to set up his kingdom on earth.
Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross for our sins, rose on the third day, ascended to heaven, and will one day return to earth.
All persons are sinners and in need of Jesus Christ.
Salvation is by God's grace
Eternal life is a gift from God.
Unbelievers face eternal punishment.  Believers face eternal life.
